Featured Artist Susan Chin
My FAVORITE metal smith artist is Susan Chin. I own several of her pieces and one never leaves my hand, my engagement ring from Mark . Bought for me in 2006 . I wear it flanked on both sides with my wedding bands.
A bit about Susan
Susans' path as a jeweler began with a handed down box of tools and a class at the "Y" in Philadelphia. The inheritance of tools included some bits of ebony and bone; materials that continue to compel Susan decades later. Other materials she employs are sterling and fine silver, yellow golds, shakudo (a copper and gold alloy), pearls, stones precious and not so precious , mirrors, mokume gane, glass and other unobtainium.
